This happening is coming few days after Bordeaux winger, Samuel Kalu, pulled out of the game due to an injury and is to be replaced by Viv Efosa Solomon-Otabor.
Kalu missed Bordeaux’s 3-1 win at Toulouse recently due to the same injury and will not recover in time for Nigeria’s big clash against Brazil in Singapore.
His replacement, Viv Efosa Solomon-Otabor, plays for Bulgarian side, CSKA Sofia. The 23-year-old was born in Birmingham, England, and was formerly with Portsmouth before moving to Eastern Europe to join the Phoenixes.
Kalu was also a member of the Super Eagles squad to the AFCON 2019, although he failed to make much impact after he collapsed due to dehydration as a result of the temperature of the host country, Egypt.
Nigeria and Brazil rekindle their rivalry with both countries meeting several times at age-grade tournaments; the most popular being the meeting in the semi-final of the football event of the Atlanta 1996 Olympics which the Dream Team One triumphed 3-2 before beating Argentina 2-0 in the final to make history as the first African country to win the Olympics football event.
